A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall blazoned as follows: Gules (Soldier Red), on a pale Argent (Silver Gray) surmounted by a chevron counterchanged, between in dexter chief a pellet charged with a huitfoil Or and in sinister chief a key palewise wards upward and outward of the last, a sword point downward Argent (Silver Gray). Attached above and to the sides of the device, a Black scroll inscribed "PROVIDE SERVICE SUPPORT" in Silver.
The chevron indicates support. Soldier red signifies the Group's logistic support throughout the area of operation. The counterchange shield illustrates transitional responsibilities of casualty, accountability, postal, and personnel management. The pellet symbolizes an artillery shell, the huitfoil, alluding to a flower, denotes flexibility. The combination of the artillery shell and huitfoil suggests the transformation of the Army in 2008, inactivating the Ordnance Group and reorganizing to a Support Group. The sword represents military readiness, on the pale and pointing down personifies the sacrifices made by Soldiers.
The distinctive unit insignia was approved on 3 December 2009.
